Welcome to Deaf Sports Ireland’s (DSI) official website launched May 11th 2012!
DSI is the National Governing Body of Irish Sports Council and we aim to promote and develop the social and community benefits of sports for Deaf & Hard of Hearing people starting at the grassroots level, to club level and then onto national and international levels. We also provide the opportunity for potential athletes to take part in competitions across all levels.
Over the next coming months, DSI will have five “Come & Try” new sports which will be Archery, Rugby Tag, Orienteering, Pitch & Putt & Tennis. We will also develop up to three sports programmes; Tennis, Swimming & Badminton with the support from different National Governing Body & Local Sports Partnerships.
On this site you should find everything you need to know about development sports in Ireland and don’t forget to check out our social networks such as Facebook, Youtube and Twitter to keep up to date with all the latest news and information!
